Good morning everyone. What are we all up to today. I ws supposed to be staying in waiting for a delivery. They said delivery would be between 9-5 and as the usually mean between 4.55 and 5pm I thought I would be sitting around doing nothing as usual. Well the delivery came at 8am!! Good job I was up! Now I don't know what to do!!!!

Morning

How is everyone today?

I'm waiting for a delivery from Sainsbury's with Sophie on stand-by to un-pack and put away. They gave me a time slot of between 8 - 12 so I hope they come soon as Sophie's at work for 1pm.

Here's hoping

At least we'll have food - the bread was a bit of an unsavory colour this morning

good morning every one. I have to go and see my counceler this morning.. just hope i can get up the stairs without shouting...... its ok for her to say .. why are you worried about work when i am unwell but i just can not let the work thing go ............ think its cuz ive stood on my own two feet for so long in adult life that the responsibility is almost like an obsessive compulsion............... anyway wish me luck. I feel so low and just going out of the house is causing me anxiety .......... speak later, much love to the few that bother to read xxx

GOOD MORNING ALL - Page 4 Empty Re: GOOD MORNING ALL

Post  BMGirl Sun Jul 06, 2008 2:02 am

Good Luck Enya!!!

I was off work for a year then I went back on a phased return which lasted a week the first time and the second a month. The stress of wanting to go back coupled with the fact that I was no longer able to do it full-time ascerbated the situation. In the end I was offered a Career Break through my local government employers and that is how it stands to date. Surely Occupational Health would be able to advise or even the Citizens Advice either way you need to find out where you stand, I know you mentioned previously about reducing your hours and I would seriously consider this as an option. You can also supplement your income with Working Tax Credit (Income Support is being phased out in October this year). Its hard when you've been self sufficient and not had to rely on income from elsewhere, and a fear of losing that feeling of self worth, but there is help out there just don't struggle on for too long as you will suffer for it and get no better thought of in the process. A reduction in hours will at least allow you the opportunity to put more balance into your life and focus on what matters most. Stress and Fibro are a bad combination.

Having been in this situation myself I feel quite well versed in the pros and cons and If I can help in any way just let me know (you have my phone number use it anytime!!!)

All the best,

Love and Hugs

I am trying my best Enya.

I just wish I could do more to help, its such a frustrating condition in so many ways, and so little help out there.

You'll never be alone here - we'll love and support you every step of the way.

I'm going to start an "On-line Support and Counselling Group" - when you're diagnosed and for a while after its such a struggle to try and maintain some semblance of normality and I think those of us who take this forum seriously have a lot to offer fellow sufferers.

xx

I hope everything goes OK for you at the hospital today Jo.

I am not doing much today apart from having my hair cut. Have already been out with the dog. But that's about it.
